Job Description:

In this role, you will be responsible to provide best practice human resources advice and support to the business to enable the site to meet its business goals. You will lead HR initiatives on site in conjunction with the Senior HR Business Partner (NZ) in order to drive the site and NZ HR strategies as well as implement and facilitate the requirements as laid down in the Manufacturing Playbook to enable the Christchurch site to competitively participate in the Excellence Programme – Championships

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing support to relevant functions, sites and individuals through empowering managers in people management practices.
  • Assisting in people management processes where necessary e.g. disciplinary, grievances, sickness absence, performance management.
  • Provide advice in the application of Employment Agreements and with the guidance of the Senior HRBP (NZ) Operations.
  • Implement and monitor the various pillars across the South Island sites within the Manufacturing playbook.
  • To ensure that the recruitment is completed in a professional and timely manner ensuring it meets the site’s production needs and to ensure ‘best fit’ of people within our company and who share our vision and values

To be successful in this role you must:

  • A tertiary qualification in human resources or related discipline.
  • Experience of providing advice on a range of HR and ER services.
  • Experience of working with Trade Unions.
  • Ambition that cannot be stemmed, as a future leader, hunger to be your best self and deliver for your people.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Organisational skills including the ability to work on several different                        projects/tasks at the same time
