Te Arawa Fisheries Group comprises a parent and subsidiary companies that hold, manage and distribute the proceeds to owners of fisheries assets belonging to the iwi of Te Arawa. Seven wholly owned subsidiaries are operated to implement the organisation’s business interests including quota, share, cash and other assets such as retail wet fish, investment property management, labour hire and sector relationship management.
 
You will be responsible for ensuring appropriate professional systems and strategies are in place to manage, control, grow and distribute the proceeds of the fisheries assets in a manner and at a rate that reflects the tikanga and aspirations of the Iwi and Hapu of Te Arawa. This includes leading effective day-to-day planning and management to the operational and commercial functions of the Parent Company’s subsidiaries as well as ensuring that appropriate support is provided to the Directors of those companies and the Trustees of the Parent Te Kotahitanga.
 
You will be a proven CEO and commercial leader with the requisite skills, competence and experience to lead this highly specialized community facing Māori business. Your involvement in te ao Māori will be cornerstone in your life and career and mean that navigating the opportunities and challenges that exist in bicultural Aotearoa New Zealand will be second nature to you.
