Project Manager - Pohutakawa

If strong construction and high-quality developments are something you care about, you'll be glad to use your skills to create a secure home for our residents and share our commitment to putting our residents at the heart of everything we do.

Large-scale contemporary developments that are built to last

As Project Manager, you'll manage the full construction phase of major developments, taking responsibility for the construction team on site and ensuring health and safety standards are met. Summerset is a contemporary developer; we care about building villages that work for our residents and staff now and in the future.

This is a role for someone with a senior background in commercial construction and experience with residential developments who truly cares about proper workmanship and a job well done. Because we own all the buildings we develop, and we're building them to enhance our residents' wellbeing, we do not compromise on quality.

Tangible results, a booming business - and heart and soul

If you've been looking at a move into larger-scale commercial developments worth $100m or more, this is your chance. Summerset's growth is booming - we're New Zealand's second- largest retirement village developer, so you'll be working at a fast pace, with projects constantly turning over, quarter on quarter. This is a scale right at the top of the industry, so it's a golden opportunity for you to greatly expand your knowledge and experience. Some of these projects are planned to take up to five years, so you'll be able to see tangible results from your work.

Lead a full construction team and work with a variety of people

You'll bring a full spectrum of experience, knowledge of construction projects, and an understanding of all the elements that make up a retirement village, such as infrastructure. You'll be the top person on site, so you'll already be a technically sound team leader and a confident, personable sort who enjoys stakeholder management and working with a range of people from all areas.

Your hard work really matters

If you want a satisfying role where you can really own a significant project and see it to fruition, you've certainly found it. Not only that, each day you'll know that all your hard work is going into creating a happy retirement for our residents. And if that's also something you care strongly about, join us.
