The Role

Reporting to the Regional Product Technologist the role scope includes preparing sample preparation, laboratory testing, data entry, reporting and document control across Product Development, Process and quality improvement projects within the Hamilton manufacturing site.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Conduct all lab and control testing/calculations, validations and COA’s and in using thorough analysis, determine if product is within proper boundaries.
  • Maintain all lab data records, databases and trial information for easy accessibility.
  • Co-ordination of internal trials with Planning, Quality and Manufacturing.
  • Provide Master Data material creation and food law compliance inputs and verification.
  • Ensure all lab equipment is in working condition and all cleaning and routine maintenance/calibration is conducted.
  • Interact with Manufacturing, Customer and Sales/Marketing to determine critical to quality (CTQ) test procedures and implement and train accordingly.

The person

  • Degree/Diploma in a Science or Engineering Discipline.
  • Been exposed to Lean Six Sigma Methodologies. 
  • Experience in using SAP and Microsoft Office would be added advantage.
