Business and Communications Assistant
Full time
Tuesday - Saturday 

Purpose of Position
To assist the Gallery Manager in the day to day business of the Ashburton Art Gallery and effectively promote the Gallery's exhibitions and programmes to our immediate stakeholders and wider community. To be the helpful point of contact to all visitors and guests of the Gallery.

· A Degree/Diploma in design/admin/marketing or related field an advantage.

Experience/Knowledge Summary
· Experience in Gallery/ Museum sector necessary.
· Experience with verbal and written communication - development & distribution.
. Experience with development of exhibition based publicity material.
· Proficient in Xero, Microsoft and Adobe suite.

Personal Attributes
· Positive, enthusiastic and eager people person.
· Detail oriented with excellent time management skills
· Understanding of multiculturalism and an advocate of diversity.
