Group Sales & Operations Planning Manager

You will join a highly commercial and talented Supply Chain Team and work in an environment where you can learn, develop and progress your career. Silver Fern Farms operates across a multi-site environment managing a national network of cold chain Distribution Centres and manufacturing facilities. Part of their strategy is the introduction of an enhanced commercial structure to facilitate better decision support, improve KPI reporting and visibility of performance across the entire business. Key to this strategy is accurate and timely planning, and to achieve this the Group Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Manager role has been created.
 
Reporting to the General Manager Supply Chain, the Group S&OP Manager is a new position which plays an integral role within the Supply Chain team. Its primary focus is the introduction of best practice S&OP across the business. Integrated Business Planning is the ultimate end goal, and people and processes the initial priority. The role has leadership responsibility for the Demand, Supply, and Production planning functions as well as influencing Master Data and their associated teams.
 
Tertiary qualified, you will likely have continued studying to achieve APICS or similar and will have broad knowledge across the entire supply chain to ensure the creation of an optimal S&OP road map. Previous experience managing Master Data and Production Planning is essential to your success. You will be commercially savvy, resilient, and detail focused, but not a perfectionist. You must be able to engage, build trust and influence at Executive Team level and inspirational leadership goes without saying. Exposure to primary industry and / or FMCG would be the icing on the cake.
 
As the champion for the S&OP function across the business it is essential the role is located at Head office in Dunedin to ensure key stakeholders are influenced. We are looking for applications from strong future leaders who can offer development potential long term.
