Territory Manager

Have the aptitude for sales, negotiating and relationship management? Looking for your next step in your career? This could be the role for you!

Philip Morris International is on a transformative journey and we’ve set a new course for the company. We are making big changes and trying to do our part in designing a smoke free future!

Why are we doing this?

The simple answer…because we should!

We understand that people are looking for less harmful alternatives to smoking and we want to give them that choice. Thanks to the dedication and perseverance of thousands of people at PMI, we have developed breakthrough products that are smoke-free. Millions of adults who would otherwise continue smoking have already switched to our new products and this is just the beginning. Society expects us to act responsibly and we will fulfil that commitment by pursuing this long-term vision for success.

The Territory Manager is responsible for managing and influencing business partners / key decision makers within outlets of a defined territory. The Territory Manager must secure fair share of traditional volume and share (FMC/ RYO), while identifying and assisting in the conversion of Legal Ages Smokers to RRP products within identified touchpoints within the territory. Territory Managers will use various avenues to generate leads for our products while representing PMNZ in a positive and professional way, focusing on team work and displaying a high work ethic.

RISE TO THE CHALLENGE

Key accountabilities for this role:

  • Contribute to the development of divisional strategies through developing and proposing territory plans for both traditional and RRP.  Develop and implement a territory business plan
  • Establish and maintain high levels of rapport with business partners and key decision makers, effectively communicating PMNZ initiatives and getting the retailers’ support.
  • Engage in cross-functional projects that support and adds value the consumer journey
  • Provide lead generation of LAS to support the conversion from LAS to RRP products in a defined territory
  • Track and report on sales cycle results and utilise KPI’s to measure territory performance and objectives
  • Monitor and report on all relevant market information, including competitor intelligence, to improve the Company’s understanding of trade developments and to provide an awareness leading to the development of appropriate strategies.

This role requires a confident communicator, who can build and maintain effective working relationships. You will have a proactive approach to your work and display a good level of analytical thinking. We are looking for someone who can operate in an agile environment and is comfortable with managing change and uncertainty. You will be someone who enjoys working cross functionally and being involved in multiple project teams.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Territory Management or Sales experience across B2B and B2C
  • Previous leadership experience would be an advantage
  • Confident communication skills, with the ability to influence
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to work autonomously
  • MS Office experience

You will be joining a dynamic team, with a strong culture of innovation and collaboration. Don’t miss your opportunity to join PMNZ to do your part bringing positive changes to New Zealanders and people across the globe.

Please note: You must be eligible to work in NZ to be considered for this role. You must also have a full, clean NZ driver’s licence. Some overnight, regional travel is required.

Please apply for this position online by the Sunday 16 June 2019.
