The role

We are seeking several well-organised, efficient and dynamic leaders who can manage and work with a vibrant range of vocational and academic staff to manage the following Academic Pathways. These are permanent roles based in Whangarei. The ideal candidates will have strong leadership and management credentials, be passionate about student outcomes, be a strong team player with good communication skills and have an understanding of industry and academic practices within educational settings.

  • Construction (1.0 FTE)
  • Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry (1.0 FTE)
  • Te Reo and Tikanga (1.0 FTE)
  • Architecture and Civil Engineering (0.5 FTE)

An industry qualification relevant to the pathway is preferred alongside applicable industry experience at a management level. Academic leadership experience is also highly advantageous. Please note that for the Te Reo and Tikanga Pathway Manager role it is required to be proficient in understanding and regular use of te reo Māori and knowledge of āhuatanga Māori.
