Operational Team Leader

About the role

We are looking for a resilient and pro-active person to join the  operational team that provides support and direction to teams of residential youth workers to lead a community of change model at Te Poutama Arahi Rangatahi.    

Key responsibilities

  • experienced at leading and managing staff preferably in a residential setting,
  • able to fully engage and contribute strategically to the senior leadership team,
  • able to work rostered shifts = work/life balance.

Skills and experience

If you thrive on variety, enjoy flexible working conditions, and already have some experience leading, managing and developing staff and have previously worked or are aspiring and ready to work at  leadership levels, then this could be the role for you.   To be successful in the role you will need excellent communication skills, a passion for working with youth,  flexibility in your approach with clarity of your role.  

 

We’d like to hear from you if you have:

  • a formal qualification in human services/ management/ business administration or related fields
  • a background working with youth with challenging behaviours
  • previous experience working in a residential environment (preferable)
  • an ability to build and maintain successful, productive professional relationships
  • a sound understanding of the social services and/or residential environment
  • a current clean full driver’s licence.
