Hayson Knell are a busy planning firm based in the heart of Tauranga CBD specialising in resource consents and development planning. 

A fantastic opportunity has come up for a Planning Administrator to join the team on a 12-month maternity cover starting mid-July with a two-week handover period.   If you’re looking for a varied, challenging role with autonomy and a competitive hourly rate then this is the role you have been looking for.

Working within a small, friendly team you will be responsible for;

  • Project administration and coordination including managing timeframes and flow of information for resource consent and related processes

  • Document control and managing the firm’s project and client database

  • Liaising with Planners/Directors, establishing and prioritising required tasks

  • Collating and word processing reports, applications, and evidence

  • Organising meetings, conference calls and travel

  • Administrative support for hearing and court preparation

  • Research as required for projects

  • Liaising with clients, consultants, and councils

  • This role will also include some Personal Assistant responsibilities as you will be working closely with the two Directors

Requirements;

  • Able to effectively manage project deliverables, deadlines and workload

  • Effective communicator able to deal with a range of people and organisations

  • Relevant experience/understanding of resource management and planning

  • Organised and systematic in approach to administration

  • Highly professional manner and a positive attitude

  • High level of computer literacy including Microsoft Office, Dropbox.  Experience in Workflow Max and Land Online would be an advantage.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
