With significant growth potential in the business, an exciting opportunity awaits for an exceptional leader with entrepreneurial mindset to run the daily operation and provide strategic leadership in the business.  As the General Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership on the technical aspects and overall administration of the business. This includes staff and contractor management, job scheduling, site inspections, customer relationship management and implementation of the health and safety policies.

You will acquire equity in the business over time and will eventually succeed the owner who is looking for a gradual exit.  

To be successful in the role, you will need to have the following attributes:

  • A natural leader with a ‘can-do’ business philosophy
  • Proven experience either running a business, division or as part of leadership team
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrable success in managing multiple and diverse projects concurrently
  • An understanding of marketing and the capability to develop strategies to drive the business forward
  • Ability to effectively lead and motivate staff and grow customer satisfaction
  • Able to communicate across all levels 
  • Excellent customer service, training and relationship management skills
  • A problem solver with an ability to proactively find solutions
  • Hands-on and practical approach to running the business, willing to roll-up your sleeves and spend time out in the field.
  • Understanding of NZ Health and Safety requirements
