Cargo Duty Manager

We are on the lookout for a hands on, diligent leader with a strong background in supervising high volume cargo operational activities in an airline or ground handling environment. 

The successful candidate will lead a large team of operations staff in processing and moving cargo globally.  You will be responsible for day to day management of operational efficiencies, optimising capacity, conforming to safety and security standards and maintaining schedule integrity, to provide the highest level of service quality standards.

Key tasks

  • Controlling the process and compliance of the team
  • Ensuring reliable customer service delivery and on time performance by providing leadership, operational direction and resources required.
  • Develop professional relationships with internal and external customers to ensure effective operations
  • Ensuring appropriate standards of safety and security are achieved
  • Ensuring all cargo staff adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Assume responsibility for accident investigations and reporting as required

To be successful in this role you require:

  • Proven warehouse/logistics experience and working knowledge of aircraft handling
  • Experience supervising a large team
  • Professional presentation and communication skills
  • Team building and mentoring strengths
  • Strong customer service capabilities 
  • Excellent written and oral communication
