People & Capability Advisor (6 months Fixed term)

6 month Fixed term full-time role | Free car parking | Xmas & New Year shut down period

We're looking for an experienced Advisor level People & Capability (HR) team member to join us on a 6 month contract to cover parental leave. Contract start date is 29 Jul, until 24th Feb. This is a full-time role (80 hours per fortnight), working flexible office hours.

MercyAscot is New Zealand's largest private surgical facility with 22 theatres across three sites including ICU and cardiac intervention facilities.

Reporting to the People & Capability Manager, this role will support the delivery of our People & Capability business plan across MercyAscot and Mercy Radiology. You'll work closely with managers from both MercyAscot and Mercy Radiology to successfully support the businesses in delivering their people strategies. Ideally you will have had at least two years experience in HR or recruitment administration, or you might be a junior advisor looking for a new challenge.

Our home base (our P&C team of 10) is at Mercy Hospital in Epsom, but we also work across other sites around Auckland, so you'll need to have a car and a driver's license (don't worry - there's a travel allowance!). You'll be joining a team of experienced HR professionals who work as a supportive and collaborative team. It's busy here and we work hard, but we also have fun, and are committed to making a difference to our organisation and our people. There's a lot of laughter in our team so a sense of humour is a non-negotiable. In addition, you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity. You will be customer focused, have an eye for detail and be hungry to learn. This is a hands-on role and we want someone who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck into making things happen.

We offer a competitive package that includes some flexibility in working hours, free car-parking, 4 weeks paid annual leave (with an option to purchase one additional week), and many other benefits. For more information on employee benefits, please visit our Careers website [link removed].

Here at MercyAscot we value being adaptable, having effective communication skills, being accountable for our actions and providing excellent customer service. If you're wondering what it's like to work at MercyAscot have a look at what our current employees [link removed] have to say!

If you're interested in joining a collegial, high performing, self-motivated team. Please *APPLY now. *We look forward to hearing from you.
