Industrial Electrician

Metro Performance Glass is New Zealand's leading supplier of glass to the building industry; we pride ourselves on our commitment to quality and service, focusing on our customers' needs and our ability to lead the market.

We are looking for an Industrial Electrician ideally with PLC automation and software experience to join our close knit team in Highbrook.

As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out machinery maintenance, resolving breakdowns and working closely with management on implementing new projects and installations.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Specialist skills in electrical engineering
  • Proven knowledge and experience in automation and software
  • Proactive with excellent problem solving skills
  • Sound diagnostic skills
  • Experience working with industrial production machinery
  • Full EWRB license (Electrician, Electrical Engineer or Inspector)
  • the flexibility to work night shifts (4pm-2.30am)
