Support Desk Anaylst

About us

Chapman Tripp is New Zealand’s leading law firm. We deliver the highest levels of legal and business performance to our clients - we are dynamic, astute and collaborative. We act with honesty and integrity and respect and value individuality and diversity in our people. We stand for the highest levels of performance. Our lawyers act on projects that are helping define New Zealand’s future, and as part of our team, you’ll be in the thick of the action.

If you are talented and looking to make a difference, Chapman Tripp has the resources, reputation and mindset to propel you to the top.

About the role

We are looking for a savvy second level IT system support to provide desktop support to staff and partners, as well as general support to the IT team.

This challenging and varied role provides the opportunity to work in a busy, yet social and supportive team.  You will provide high quality second level support to our Chapman Tripp Service Desk – logging, tracking and resolving calls, assisting users with ad hoc training as well as providing on-call support to staff and partners. You will also build PCs and Notebooks via scripted build or from images, as well as install and upgrade software and administer users’ accounts.

Skills/Experience

This role would suit someone who has two to three years’ service desk experience looking to increase their skills in a large corporate environment.

Previous experience in a medium to large corporate environment and an IT Polytechnic or University qualification are desirable.  Knowledge of Windows 10 and Microsoft desktop applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is desirable, as is familiarity of Document Management systems and experience within the ITIL Framework.

This role requires the ability to maintain strict confidentiality and strong ethics, first-rate interpersonal skills and a focus on service and solutions. You will need to manage multiple priorities, be comfortable operating in a team environment and keep up to date with changing technology.

Working for Chapman Tripp:

Our firm is full of people who enjoy a challenge, team work and are prepared to have a lot of fun along the way. You’ll join a group of talented, high-performing people who believe in having a life outside of work. Whether you’re a marathon runner, dancer, film enthusiast, history buff or underground chef, we encourage our people to get out of the office when they don’t need to be here and lead a balanced life.

We like to think our people enjoy coming to work each day and we think we do a pretty good job at providing a great environment to work in.

As part of our commitment to diversity & belonging, we are committed to creating a culture of belonging which focuses on equal opportunity, merit and providing tools to be our best.  We cultivate a flexible and supportive workplace environment that meets the needs of our people and our Firm and welcome applications for this position from candidates seeking flexible working arrangements.
