Booking Administrator - Scheduling

Auckland Radiology Group (ARG) are a wholly independent, NZ owned and operated company dedicated to excellence in radiology services. Our radiologists, medical radiographer technicians, sonographers and administration staff are highly valued and experts in their fields.

About the role:

The ARG Booking Centre aims to provide an efficient and customer-focused service to ARG referrers, patients and staff.  We are looking for a smart-minded Administrator to work with our supportive Bookings Team at our main 101 Remuera Road branch.

The role is full-time, 40 hours/week and will be challenging at times.  Ideally you will be an empathetic and calm individual with excellent communication skills and an outstanding phone manner. The team books all appointments, including Ultrasound, MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), CT (computed tomography) and interventional procedures (e.g. biopsy)

Ideal skills and experience:

  • Radiology administration and/or medical reception experience an advantage, but with relevant transferable skills - not essential
  • Previous experience in a call centre environment an advantage
  • Scheduling super-star with the ability to foresee conflicts, be time aware and manage and communicate accordingly
  • Fluent English is essential

About You:

  • You will have an excellent and professional phone manner with the ability to build empathy and rapport with patients and referrers quickly (Referrers being: medical specialists, GP's and sports physicians)
  • You will be resilient and understanding in order to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal customers and colleagues
  • You will be a team player
  • You will have a strong customer service focus with both patients and referrers – knowing when to listen, asking helpful questions and sourcing further insight when needed
  • You will be a smart and agile thinker who can communicate clearly
  • You will be open to learning new systems, be coachable, and confident in asking questions when the need arises

In the results of a recent staff survey, ARG’s culture ranked high in honesty and integrity.  Our staff find it a great place to work and believe in the direction of the organisation. 92% said they would recommend ARG as an employer.

If you believe you have these attributes and would like to be part of a team dedicated to providing imaging services in an innovative, caring and ethical way, then we would love to hear from you.   Apply for this job now through Seek – we look forward to hearing from you.
