Assistant Groundsman

If you love working outdoors and are keen to learn about turf maintenance, this job could be for you!

We are looking for an Assistant Groundsman to work alongside our Sportsfields Technicians assisting with all aspects of maintenance on Wellington City Council sports fields.

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and develop and someone who is prepared to work as part of a team to ensure the different sporting facilities in Wellington City are maintained and presented to a high standard.

This could be your opportunity to start a career in the turf industry as full training will be given to right applicant.

You:

  • love working in outdoors
  • are a team player and have a positive attitude
  • have a full NZ driver's license with confident manual driving skills
  • have an understanding of Health and Safety practises
  • have customer service excellence.

This position works 40 hours per week, between the hours of 7.30am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday, overtime as required.
