Data Reporter

We have an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about creating world class digital journalism and wants to have fun while they work. We are seeking a savvy journalist to create engaging data-driven stories for the Stuff website, our newspapers, and Neighbourly. This is a 12-month fixed term role based in either Wellington or Auckland, reporting into Stuff's Projects Director.

The job will involve finding newsworthy data sources and using automated writing software to produce stories.

You will be:

  • A trained reporter who knows how to find and structure a story
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets and databases
  • Able to think logically, and still write with flair
