St Mark’s Church School is a co-educational Independent Anglican Diocesan School with children from Preschool to Year 8. Based in Wellington, we teach the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) and St Mark’s is a registered IB World School.  

We are seeking applicants for a Teacher Assistant and ESOL Teacher Assistant – Learning Support position to join our staff team at the beginning of Term 3, 2019. The Teacher Assistant position is for 23 hours per week and the ESOL Teacher Assistant position is for 11 hours per week, both during term time. This position may be combined for the right candidate. Applicants will have proven teacher assistant ability, literacy support knowledge, a flexible and positive attitude and/or second language learning teaching skills. The successful applicant will work in the Primary School under the direction of the Dean of Learning Support. A current first aid certificate, a patient and empathetic attitude and being supportive of our special character, would be advantageous.
