Graphics and Multimedia Design Officer

  • Self-driven position working across all areas of Council.
  • Join a motivated team keen to engage with our community.
  • Creative opportunity in a professional setting.

What the job involves

In this role you'll take responsibility for the design and publishing of all Council design collaterals and templates, in support of internal and external communication activities. You'll design our advertising, marketing, online web pages, digital signage, and publications. Your attention to detail will ensure all our communications messages are tone and style appropriate.

Who are we looking for?

To be successful in this position you'll need to be passionate and creative with experience using industry standard tools. Due to the diversity of tasks, you'll enjoy learning about local government, using a variety of programmes and working to set deadlines. As part of the Communications team, your goal is to simplify Council jargon into easy-to-understand content that effectively reaches its target audience. Your relevant tertiary qualification in communication or marketing will provide you the skills to analyse where our advertising spend gets the best bang for buck.

What we can offer you

Work/life balance doesn't get much better than this. Working in a friendly atmosphere, you'll be supported and encouraged to enhance and further your career. And what about lifestyle? You'll find the Ashburton District a welcoming, relaxed and unrivalled place to live - perfect for you and your family - and with Mt Hutt and Lake Hood right on your doorstep, the opportunity for adventure is endless!
