Training Competency Advisor

We have an exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic Training Competency Advisor to join our Building Services team.

This role will see the successful incumbent coordinating and providing advice on staff training and competency processes for the building consent services team, to ensure compliance with the Building Consent Authority's national competency requirements.

Reporting into the Performance Quality & Compliance Specialist you will ensure training manuals and supporting materials are in place and are regularly reviewed and updated, as well as monitor legislative changes and ensure these changes are incorporated into the BCA training manual and correct guidance material is developed. In addition, you will develop and contribute to new BCA processes as required to support the strategic direction of the councils Building Services team.

In order to be successful in this role you will hold a tertiary qualification, have proven presentation and facilitation abilities, with the ability to interpret legislation and regulations. In addition to this, it would be an added bonus if you had strong knowledge of legislative frameworks including, but not restricted to the Building Act 2004 and Local Government Act 2002.
