Branch & Events Manager

The role:
You can really make this role your own! Working flexibly at 20 hours per week you will have a calendar of events to plan between now and the end of the contract in March.  You will work from home and be supplied with all the ‘tools of trade’.  In this role you will need to be self-motivated, energetic and have a passion for running interesting, topical & profitable events.  You will need to have the flexibility to travel as this role is part of the South Island Chapter with a Membership covering Dunedin and Queenstown.

Responsibilities:
  • Planning and executing topical and profitable events
  • Providing governance & secretarial support to the Branch Executive
  • Drive member engagement
  • Create annual plans based on membership for events
  • Source sponsorship
  • Actively contribute ideas to the branch & organisation
Skills:
  • Previous Event Management experience from conception to execution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management
  • A creative flair and passion for events
  • Self-managing and motivated approach to work
  • Solid administrative skills
