Student Services Coordinator

Skills Update Training and Education Group is proudly one of New Zealand's largest private training establishments. Purpose of the Role

Student Success is the primary focus for Skills Update Training and Education Group. The Student Services team is the centre that provides this support as the first point of contact for all students to our campuses. The team ensures that the learners are provided with a seamless learning experience from the time of enrolment to graduation by offering a wraparound service that is engaging and exciting.

You will be required to:

  • Facilitate efficient and high quality enrolment experience for students.
  • Provide students with accurate information on programmes to enable them to make informed decision when enrolling into a programme.
  • Provide learners assistance with the enrolment process.
  • Ensure all required documentation for a valid enrolment are collected within the agreed time frames and disseminated as per requirements.
  • Plan, coordinate and participate in activities that create a vibrant social environment on the campus and contribute to a positive learning experience.
  • Actively engage with students on a regular basis to provide holistic solutions to identified student needs, problems or issues.
  • Provide excellent customer service and pastoral care to all prospective and current learners.
  • Provide required administrative support for smooth campus operations
  • Participate and contribute to student recruitment planning and marketing activities.
  • Represent the organisation to a high professional standard.
  • Monitor learner progress and provide reports as required.
  • Apply quality management system processes in an accurate and timely manner.

We prefer you to have experience in:

  • Student enrolment in the tertiary education sector
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills using MS Excel and Word  
  • Coordinating activities in multiple settings
