Technical Product Manager

Volpara Solutions are on the lookout for a technical product manager with strong customer empathy and product advocacy.

About Volpara Solutions:

With a presence in 38 countries worldwide and continued growth since listing on the ASX, Volpara Solutions is further growing their Wellington based R&D team in-order to deliver more value to their customers. Their teams are dedicated to speeding up the diagnosis process for detecting breast cancer, by creating market leading software and tools – and with recently regulatory changes in the US their products are becoming a market standard.

“To reduce the mortality and cost of breast cancer by providing clinically-validated software that underpins personalized, high-quality breast cancer screening.”

 

The Role:

Technical Product Managers are the key, motivated and independent people interfacing between the engineering team in NZ, and the sales & marketing team globally.

In this role you can understand the clinical aspects of the product, the engineering team constraints and concerns and the customer via interaction with the Customer Geniuses, and research teams. You will join calls to the US and Europe and travel occasionally to interact with the sales staff. You will be an engaging and passionate presenter as you demonstrate products to various stakeholders.

As a technical PM you are expected to have a strong foundational knowledge across all areas of an environment – databases, infrastructure, cloud-technologies etc. so that you can drive the best decisions for the product, business and customer.

Increasingly, privacy and information security are vital to Volpara’s customers. The TPM will work with the privacy and information security team to understand the necessary requirements for the products and to fill out the necessary paperwork as needed.

 

Experience Needed:

  • 3+ years of experience in product management
  • Clinical understanding (MedTech)
  • Demonstratable ability to understand and communicate technical concepts
  • Experience reading academic and clinical research
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a range of stakeholders
  • Ability to read quality and regulatory standards
  • Ability to analyse large data sets and drive meaningful conclusions and insights
  • Ability to advocate for your features driving them through completion
