Maintenance Engineer - Facilities and Services

The challenge (should you choose to accept it)

This is a newly created role to help share the load across the team. You will be carrying out day-to-day facilities and services checks, logs and adjustments. Your skillset, willingness to learn and Can-Do attitude will help ensure our supply of steam, water reticulation and refrigeration, run at optimum efficiency with minimal downtime.

As part of Frucor’s Environmental drive, you will be on the lookout for improvement opportunities and efficiency gains and involved in efficiency and improvement project teams. The Facilities and Services team also manage trade waste, security, building WOF and compliance. Your day will likely include contractor liaison, permit to work, and day-to-day upkeep of buildings and services.

You’ll love working to a fast moving environment, be a self-starter, effective problem solver and have a general passion for making this a better and safer place to work.

You’ll have a combination of the following:

  • You’ll consider yourself a Jack of all Trades (even in your spare time outside of work)?
  • Relevant trade certificate, ie fitting / turner or similar background.
  • You’ll have 5 years’ experience working within the trade
  • Health & Safety is critical in our organisation, so you will need to have a strong safety focus
  • Team work is second nature to you and you can easily communicate to people from all walks of life
  • You will ideally have a good sense of using computers for your day to day admin, and if you have SAP skills, all the better!
  • You will ideally have experience in any chemical handling or have had industrial training
