Surf Life Saving New Zealand is one of the most well recognised brands in NZ and we are currently looking to employ a Fundraising Coordinator to further develop our fundraising programmes.

As a charity Surf Life Saving New Zealand’s (SLSNZ) needs to raise funds to support it own activities  behind the scenes that goes on to support the 74 Surf Life Saving Clubs around New Zealand.  SLSNZ does not receive direct Government funding so the fundraising work we do is an important part of our business.

This position will take a lead role in direct mail and regular giving programmes as well as being involved in other fundraising appeals and activities. This position will be based in Wellington area and report to the SLSNZ Finance Manager, and work closely with the communications and Marketing team. 

The role will require the person to have experience in fundraising a good understanding of direct mail and regular giving programmes. The successful person will need to be computer literate and have the ability to manage the donor database.

It is important that the successful candidate has a friendly and approachable manner, able to provide strong support for donors, staff and club members. Effective communication skills both written and oral and a commitment to a high standard of customer service is essential for this role.
