Seeking a Programme Quantity Surveyor to join an award-winning residential construction company as they build high quality homes throughout the region. 

The Role

Reporting to the Quantity Surveyor Manager you will be joining a team of 4 Quantity Surveyors to run the costing side of the Projects; Payment claims and variation costings. Using your Technical knowledge, you will be contributing on tenders and dealing face to face with Project Managers. This opportunity will suit an Intermediate or Senior Quantity Surveyor, who is looking for a supportive and friendly team.

Duties

  • Measure and estimate material and labour costs
  • Liaise between clients and contractors
  • Preparing reports and projections
  • Visit building sites to monitor progress
  • Study and interpret Architectural and Engineering plans

Skills and Experience

  • Residential and/or main contractor experience
  • Relevant tertiary qualification as a Quantity Surveyor
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • Experience with estimation software
  • Understanding of the NZ Building Code and Act
