Quantum Security Services is a specialist security consultancy based in Wellington CBD. We’ve only been around since 2014, but in that time, we’ve made a big impact in the New Zealand market. We provide both technical and risk related consultancy to the public and private sectors.

Quantum is a great place to learn and grow. Its staff include OSCP, SABSA, CISA, CISSP and PCI-QSA certified consultants, experienced account managers and a dedicated management team with a passion for information security.

We are after a penetration tester to join our growing team and help us keep up with our ongoing pipeline of work. As one of our consultants you would be a key member of the team working on a range of engagements. This includes working on technical testing jobs with small and large customers in a variety of engagements.

No two weeks are the same; you can expect to be involved in the following:

  • Penetration testing a wide range of application types
  • Conducting configuration reviews on a variety of on premise and cloud hosted solutions
  • Conducting code reviews
  • Reviewing outputs from testing tools to communicate to clients in a meaningful way
  • Comparing solutions against industry good/best practice and providing advice to customers based on this
  • Writing high quality reports to communicate recommendations
  • Working closely with and within customer teams and environments

We don’t mind whether you’re a seasoned security consultant, or this will be your first experience; we’re looking for someone with the right attitude that is:

  • Keen to learn
  • Familiar with a common security framework
  • Understands key security risks and controls
  • Diligent and trustworthy
  • Able to communicate effectively with customers
  • Fluent in written English
  • Has the right to work in New Zealand

We don’t expect you to have all of the below, but it’s great if you have some of these:

  • Experience in the security industry
  • Security qualifications (OSCP, CEH, CISSP, CISA, CISM etc)
  • Familiarity in technical testing techniques
  • Participated in bug bounties
  • Familiarity with a coding language
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001/2 and 31000, PCI DSS, NIST CSF, OWASP and SOC frameworks
  • IT and networking qualifications (CCNA, COMPTIA etc)
  • Security design or architecture background (SABSA, AWS architecture etc)
