The company has a great opportunity for a part-time Accounts Assistant based in the head office in Napier.  Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer who is based in Auckland, you’ll provide a pivotal support role to the business, ensuring the smooth running of the accounts function.

With proficient accounting skills you’ll be comfortable managing the day-to-day accounting requirements including implementing and maintaining accounting controls and procedures, data entry, supplier payment processing and reconciliations, GST and payroll, and monitoring cashflow.  You’ll also contribute to the financial reporting, producing timely and accurate information necessary for effective management of the business. Experience with exports and foreign currency transactions would be an advantage.

You will thrive in a dynamic, changing environment and relish the opportunity to grow in this exciting business.  This is a role for someone with a flexible and collaborative approach who can demonstrate initiative and meet deadlines.

To succeed in this role, you will bring 3+ years’ accounting experience with an excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices.  You’ll enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to work independently, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and explain financial information. Solid experience using Xero and Excel is essential.
