As the General Manager you will be reporting to the Advisory Board and will provide leadership and general management of business operations, ensuring financial, customer service and project management targets are achieved. This pivotal position will be responsible for implementing strategic plans for successful operations and profitable business growth.

Key accountabilities include:

  • General Management: Lead the business on a day to day basis
  • Business Development: Identify, pursue, and implement growth opportunities.
  • Marketing: Work closely with architectural firms and other referrers.
  • Financial and Commercial: Maintain effective overview of the financial management and performance of the business. Ensure the business complies with all statutory requirements.
  • Customer: Provide a customer centric approach to all business dealings
  • Business Relationships: maintain a proactive relationship within the business and with key suppliers

Key attributes we are looking for are:

  • Track record of successfully managing, leading and motivating teams
  • Strong ability to manage relationships and drive sales activity through both networking and tender management
  • Experience in the construction industry but could come from the professions or the trades
  • Experience managing operational budgets and providing forecasts
  • Proven ability to improve systems and increase effectiveness and efficiency
  • Proven experience in delivering calm leadership in a high-pressure environment
  • Advanced communication skills and stakeholder management skills.
