Territory Sales Manager - FMCG

The Company

A well established FMCG company that markets a range of iconic New Zealand brands to the Zealand Grocery Channel. The company is soundly run and has a very stable management structure.

The Role

This great opportunity has become available after a long term employee has decided to retire. The territory is in great shape and the trade perception is very positive. You will be responsible for maximising sales and market share in the Grocery Channel. You will be highly motivated and able to work efficiently and autonomously utilising state-of-the-art real time reporting systems. Other responsibilities include:

  • Implement trade initiatives & ensure strong Return on Investment.
  • Achieve sales and distribution objectives..
  • Direct, motivate and support a team of Merchandisers.
  • Ongoing development of effective long term trade relationships.
  • Execute brand sales and marketing plans, including NPD launches and display drives. 

The Brief

We are keen to discuss this opportunity with you if you have a sound track record, effective communication skills and established sales experience within the Waikato region within the grocery channel.

Other key skills required include:

  • A commercial approach including an understanding of return on investment.
  • Strong communication and negotiating skills
  • An ability to build effective relationships at all levels
  • A highly organised approach and an ability to juggle priorities .
  • A desire to become a highly effective player within an engaged, motivated team.
