About the Role

Join our client in Auckland, NZ, as their new Communications Manager. You will have the potential to earn an attractive and negotiable salary based on experience. 

The primary purpose of this position is to lead the organisation's communications strategy in order to raise awareness of their work and the key issues affecting educational equity. 

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive some of your responsibilities include:

  • Building their profile with media & key influencers 
  • Creating annual reports to showcase & report on their work
  • Setting overall directions for the organisation's communication
  • Maintaining their communications channels, including e-newsletters, websites & social media 
  • Identifying, researching & writing stories & case studies to illustrate the organisation's projects or themes
About You
  • Proven managerial & supervisory experience 
  • Successful experience in media liaison & social media
  • Qualifications in Communications or other relevant fields 
  • Extensive experience in a communication role at a high level
  • Experience in identifying & shaping communication strategies 
  • An understanding is engaging to a diverse range of readers
