Trainer & Assessor | Shine

In this role, you will develop and deliver qualification programmes of the highest quality, including course development and delivery with external partners, associate trainers, and the assessment of learners.

Requirements:
  • Qualified health or social sector professional, ideally with postgraduate qualifications in one or more of the following: Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health, Counselling, Trauma Studies or a closely related field.
  • NZ Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching level 4 or 5 or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in the family violence field preferred. A good understanding of the power and control analysis and dynamics of family violence is required.
  • Educational experience with confidence and experience in training and facilitating
  • Highly skilled at oral and written communication to provide reports of a professional standard.
  • Knowledge and experience of cultural differences and the ability to understand how to incorporate this knowledge into the delivery of culturally appropriate services, which are consistent with the Treaty of Waitangi.
  • Able to work under pressure with excellent time management and organisational abilities.
  • A ‘can do’ attitude and ability to tackle and prioritise a wide variety of tasks.
  • Computer literate to intermediate level in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Has a clean driver's licence with a reliable vehicle, and the flexibility to travel out of Auckland as needed
