South Pacific Meats Ltd, Malvern is a modern sheep and beef processing plant at Burnham, south of Christchurch.

We are seeking a suitably experienced Supervisor for our stock yards.

Responsibilities include; receiving stock, completing all documentation and kill agendas, animal welfare, cleaning and presenting stock for processing.

The successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Eagerness to learn
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Excellent stockmanship, with an empathy for animal welfare
  • Sound understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Good computer skills
  • A commitment to health and safety

While previous experience in this role would be an advantage, we are willing to offer training to a successful applicant with suitable experience and the right temperament.
