Quality Assurance Technician

About the company
Our client is a major player in the international infant formula and dairy nutrition market. Due to steady growth, our client is looking for a QA Technician to join their team on a permanent basis, located at their newly-commissioned, state-of-the-art manufacturing plant based south of Auckland.

About the Vacancy
You will play a key role in ensuring quality products are being generated at the factory through standard procedures and processes of testing, cleaning and communication to all areas within the factory. You'll spend much of your time within the facility, working to support the production team, but will also need to manage your documentation and other QMS responsibilities.
  
Applicants will have a strong level of quality control experience particularly from within the dairy sector as well as strong communication skills. You will be able to anticipate problems and use your technical knowledge to solve these and to make improvements with regards to quality and food safety.   
  
This role will suit candidates that enjoy working in a busy production environment.
  
Key Requirements
  • Relevant workplace experience and tertiary science qualification
  • At least 3 years Quality Team experience in the food or dairy industry
  • Experience in a dairy nutritionals; manufacture preferred
  • ISO/HACCP experience
  • Good understanding of GHP and GMP 
  • Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills
  • Deliver results within tight deadlines
  • Excellent time management is essential
