About the Role

As the Employee Relations Lead in NZ this role will see you as part of a successful People & Culture team. Taking action in consolidation and development across various teams around NZ, working closely with the Australian ER Lead and together building a strong ER support practice for the wider business across Datacom Group.

You will provide support on complex cases and build ER capabilities across Datacom, connecting with the People and Culture Business Partners to ensure consistency across all business streams. You will create applicable and up to date policies, procedures and training.

  • Hands on delivery of ER legislative advice
  • Assist the People Business Partners with ER related issues and take the lead where necessary
  • Develop robust processes and procedures which are fit for purpose
  • Assist in addressing conflicts, striving to resolve them in a positive manner that benefits all parties and facilitates healthy work relationships
  • Review and create current process and documentation for relevance and adherence to legislative expectations
  • Develop training and development programs for the wider People and Culture team and the business

The Person

  • Tertiary degree in Human Resources, Law or equivalent
  • 3-5 years' experience working in an Employee Relations or Advisory role
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Employee Relations legislation and experience of managing investigations, disciplinary procedures and mediation
