The purpose of the role is to provide quality administration support to the Support Services Manager, Senior Management and the wider Sport Wellington team, ensure the effective and efficient administration of the Sport Wellington head office, provide personal assistance to the CEO and Board and manage relevant relationships with organisations and individuals associated with Sport Wellington.

Key tasks of this role include:

  • Provide administration and secretarial support for management and the wider Sport Wellington team.
  • Provide IT support for all Sport Wellington staff as and when required seeking assistance and logging jobs with external IT providers when necessary.
  • Basic HR Administration duties including assistance with onboarding new employees during induction and responsibilities within Health, Safety and Wellness.
  • Champion the mail distribution of incoming and outgoing mail and manage the Sport Wellington email info box.
  • Assist with Sport Wellington Event Management both in-house and externally before, during and after Sport Wellington Events.
  • Ensure Sport Wellington head office and all Sport Wellington resources are properly maintained, and any issues are attended to or escalated as necessary.
  • Oversee all stationary and stock within the Sport Wellington office and identify items that require replacement.

 

Essential Skills include:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Understand privacy.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise.
  • Intermediate Office 365 skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work hours as required to ensure success of Sport Wellington Events.
  • Makes reasoned and timely decisions.
  • At least a restricted licence to drive Sport Wellington fleet vehicles.

 

Excellent written English is a must.
