A wonderful opportunity is available as Talent & Culture Manager at Novotel & Ibis Ellerslie.  This property compromises of 247 rooms and extensive conference facilities.  Located alongside the picturesque Ellerslie racecourse the location is ideal for business and leisure travellers alike, situated only 15 minutes from Auckland's CBD.

Reporting to the General Manager, and supporting 120 team members, this is a true HR generalist role, so we are looking for someone who will thrive on variety and a busy environment. You are a strategic thinker with the ability to provide high quality, informed advice alongside your well-developed analytical and written skills.

Your enthusiasm for providing effective and innovative solutions has enabled you to develop exceptional relationships, and you are outcome focused, to ensure that you also contribute to the wider operational team.

About the role

•Manage all aspects of recruitment, end to end.

•Support Managers and Supervisors on everything people related through coaching, performance management and development.

•Coordinate and deliver training and development programs.

•Manage reward and recognition programs.

•This is a diverse role also covering remuneration, HR budgets, compliance, Work, Healthy and Safety, Sustainability, and payroll.

•Manage a full time Talent & Culture Coordinator/Safety, Risk & Environment Officer.

•Above all, be creative, innovative and fun, and always looking for ways to do things better.

Skills and experience

•Knowledge of NZ employment law, WHS legislation & Immigration required.

•Experience at a Manager level required and Hotel HR experience preferred.

•Commercial awareness and understanding of our business drivers.

•An approachable nature and ability to build relationships across all levels.

•As a trusted advisor you must display confidentiality at all times.

•Act as an advocate for Inclusion and Diversity.

•You will have strong organisational skills and ability to multi-task and be flexible with change.

•You will ideally have a tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related.
