About the role

As part of the financial year end, and the up-coming implementation of certain projects, an opportunity has arisen within our Finance team for a contractor, for a fixed term of up to 6 weeks.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Finance professional to get stuck in and put your excellent data reconciliation and analysis skills to good use.

The key tasks include reconciling customer and supplier accounts, identifying and investigating variances and recommending a suitable course of action.

The ideal candidate would have a Finance background, with a sound understanding of accounting entries generated from the accounts payable, accounts receivable and inventory sub-ledgers. You will have a good understanding of finance processes, from inventory ordering and goods receipting, through to invoice and payment. You will be familiar with ERP accounting software and will be a confident user of Excel (can use vlookup formulas and pivot table).

We are also looking for someone with great communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders across Finance and the business. In return, we offer a flexible, inclusive working environment.

 

We are after

  • 2+ years finance experience
  • Good understanding of general accounting practices and finance processes
  • Familiar with accounting software
  • Able to work independently
  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
