Financial Accountant

An opportunity exists within the Finance Department, for a highly motivated and experienced individual who will take ownership of the General Ledger and responsible for preparing monthly and annual financial statutory accounts accurately and on time. You will also be involved in the preparation and analysis and distribution of financial and non-financial reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations. 

You will utilize your business partnership skills to communicate complex data into easy to understand information for non-financial stakeholders, and your business analysis capability will help support in financial decision making across to various colleagues and business units across the organisation. 

This role will also provide back up to the payroll and asset accounting functions when team members are on leave or need help as required. 

We are looking for applicants who; 

  • Are a CA qualified accountant (CAANZ) 
  • Have 3+ years Financial accounting and Statutory reporting experience within a medium to large organisation 
  • Have strong skills within Microsoft Excel (immediate to advanced) 
  • Have extensive experience with ERP finance and eProcurement systems 
  • Are pro-active, approachable, customer focused with a can-do attitude 
  • Have the flexibility to take on additional tasks when required
