Advanced Technical Officer

School of Engineering

Division of Health, Engineering, Computing and Science

We are seeking high-quality technical support for the School of Engineering's research, teaching and commercial activities related to Civil Engineering.

To succeed in this role you must be able to provide training and demonstrate best practice in support of teaching and research. Demonstrated effective trouble-shooting and problem solving skills and a competent knowledge of health and safety requirements and practices are required.

You will be able to demonstrate your skills and experience in areas of civil engineering while also having extensive knowledge of the construction industry and knowledge of testing of mechanical properties of concrete or soils.

A relevant tertiary engineering qualification, or significant equivalent work experience, is an essential requirement. Your ability to work independently with a diverse range of staff and students together with clients from the construction industry is essential. A current NZ full driver's licence is required.

Salary will be in the range of $69,802 to $80,501 per year, depending on qualifications, skills and experience.
