Health Care Assistant (12-month fixed-term; part-time Mon-Fri)

Student Health at Victoria University is seeking an experienced health care assistant to join our clinical team on a 12 month fixed-term contract.

This role is working with our team of Nurses, General Practitioners and support staff providing clinical administration support, contributing to the smooth daily operation of the clinic.

You will also work closely with Student Counselling and other student support teams.

You will have:

  • experience in a health care setting with an interest in youth health
  • excellent time management skills
  • the ability to work independently with confidence
  • the ability to multi task and prioritise workload
  • experience using practice management software an advantage
  • previous experience with sterilising and infection control procedure (preferred).

We provide wide-ranging multidisciplinary primary health care to the University student community of 22,000. We belong to Compass Primary Healthcare Network and around 9000 of our students are enrolled patients. We also work with a diverse group of 2,500 international students.

This role requires safety checking through the police vetting system under the Vulnerable Children Act 2014.
