Livestock Representative

Alliance Group is a global leader in procuring, processing and marketing the world's best quality red meat products. We're becoming a food company with world-class processing and livestock capability and our products are enjoyed in more than 65 countries across the globe. As New Zealand's only 100% farmer owned red meat co-operative, our aim is to maximise returns to our committed farmer shareholders and support them to operate profitable and sustainable farms.

If you are looking for a role that will allow you to utilise your technical knowledge in the livestock industry, while maintaining close and meaningful relationships with our farmer shareholders and suppliers; Alliance has a great opportunity for a Livestock Representative based in Oamaru that might be right for you.

In this role you will be able to showcase your passion for agriculture and your focus on delivering value to our clients; while at the same time learning from our team of Livestock experts.

As a Livestock Representative, you will be supported by a mentor and provided with learning opportunities while working closely with our specialist Livestock and Store Stock team on the ground. This training and development will prepare you for your own area and client base where you can then provide the primary interface between the Alliance and our suppliers.

If you have a specialised agricultural interest, this role will allow you to use and build great communication skills which are at the core of client relationship management. This role is a great opportunity to develop and build a long-term career working in the farming and manufacturing industries. Your attention to detail and effective computer use skills will be an advantage.

To be considered for this role you must be legally able to work in New Zealand. As we have a real focus on Safety and Wellbeing any offer of employment will be subject to a pre-employment drug screening test.
