Relationship Manager

  • Ensure Council partner and sponsor relationships are effectively managed to achieve the best possible outcomes for all parties and our community
  • Increase engagement with Council partners and sponsors
  • Support promotional activities for partners and sponsors in line with agreements
  • Manage sponsor reporting processes
  • Support Council to maintain a consistent and professional approach to sponsorship and sponsor relationships

Here at Hutt City Council, we're working together to make a positive difference to the lives of our community, and have an exciting opportunity in our high-performing Promotions and Events Division. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person to be the key contact for our new and existing sponsors and ensure those relationships are effectively managed to achieve the best possible outcomes for both parties and for our community. We want someone who can hit the ground running, lead by example and who has proven relationship management skills.

Skills and experience

You will have at least 5 years' proven and successful background in establishing and maintaining corporate relationships. You'll have outstanding communication skills, the ability to effectively manage multiple projects, the ability to make the most of opportunities for collaboration, a creative flair, a passion for our community and a great attitude. You will also have the ability to contribute to the wider Promotions and Events Division as well as to other Divisions across the organisation.

The nature of this role means that you are available on occasion to work outside normal business hours, including weekends and evenings.
