Communications Advisor

We’re looking for a creative who can write well and play a pivotal role in the development and management of high-quality, effective communication and marketing resources.

TToH is a Hastings-based kaupapa Maori organisation. It’s a great place to work, and the results we achieve with whanau are rewarding. Our health, social, education and community development teams have been working successfully with whanau across wider Hawke’s Bay and beyond for the past 33 years.

An important part of this role is to support and promote internal communications for our staff who work in many different capacities along the East Coast from Mahia to Rimutaka.

Our ideal candidate will be:

  • Competent in the creation of digital presentation material
  • Experienced with social media platforms, websites and intranets
  • Familiar with marketing principles
  • Experienced in building and maintaining relationships
  • Skilled in communication and presentation – written, verbal and visual
  • Able to prioritise and balance multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong in administration and organisational skills
  • A capable project manager
  • A competent photographer

They will have:

  •  A tertiary qualification and/or relevant experience in marketing and communications
  • A current, full driver’s licence
  • An understanding of Tikanga Maori and confidence working with Maori
  • The ability to connect with people from all walks of life
