Account Manager - Lower North Island & South Island

BD is currently recruiting for an experienced, passionate and dedicated Account Manager to join our talented and high performing sales team in New Zealand. Our ideal candidate has strong passion and dedication to improving the lives of our patients every day and drives results through their dedication to our customers.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Achievement of agreed sales targets for the prescribed range of products with continual surveillance of the market to develop and review long-term strategies to ensure consistent sales, market share and profit growth.
  • Establish, implement and review a territory plan including goals and specific actions.
  • Effectively build and manage relationships with key customers along the continuum from end-users to c-suite. 
  • Ensure that we are meeting or exceeding customer expectations through a collaborative approach.
  • Develop expertise in the clinical areas by building and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of customer practices.
  • Demonstrate the use and advantages of product solutions; conduct product demonstrations and validations with prospective customers.

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years sales experience within the Medical Devices market, experience within infusion desirable
  • Tertiary education in healthcare or sciences
  • Strong business acumen
  • Experience navigating the Public & Private Hospital environment at all levels
  • Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to interpret and analyse sales data to understand territory sales data
  • Experience with CRM programs an advantage
  • Demonstrated effective listening skills and interpersonal savvy
  • Problem solving ability and demonstrated examples of providing innovative solutions
  • Demonstrated ability in matching and delivering the appropriate level of customer support with the value of the business opportunity
  • Ability to deal with multiple priorities and short time lines from time to time. Must be able to manage customer expectations appropriately
  • Ability to work autonomously across a large territory
