With a team of 200 employees operating state-of-the-art production facilities, with internationally recognised certification, they are looking to appointed an experienced Plant Production Manager at their Christchurch facility. Reporting to the General Manager - Operations, this role is a great opportunity to further your career with a business which takes pride in achieving the high standards demanded by their industry and is experiencing a sustained period of significant growth. 

Your key responsibilities

  • Oversee production planning and scheduling to ensure that product demand is met.
  • Daily management of production flow and control.
  • Meet, maintain and enhance product and process quality standards.
  • Manage stock effectively and identify process, systems and procedure improvements.
  • Manage the plant facility, assets and equipment to enhance production flow and reduce costs.
  • Lead the process and packaging teams effectively and efficiently, providing focus and direction.
  • Develop and maintain effective supplier relationships.

Your skills & experience

  • Proven experience in a Senior Production Management role.
  • A background in Process Management within a food manufacturing business.
  • Outstanding leadership with the ability to build a high performance work environment and culture.  
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent quality management and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication abilities.
