About the role

As Centre Manager, you will build on your already proven pedagogical experience, strong leadership and operational management skills, to take an effective and enthusiastic teaching team to the next level. 

You'll be responsible for

  • Managing financial and occupancy goals
  • Providing leadership in creating an environment where children are engaged, and their interests and strengths are developed and shared with their whānau
  • Managing day-to-day Centre operations, including staffing, enrolments and marketing initiatives
  • Recruiting, inducting, leading and developing a high-quality team
  • Counted in ratio, weekly total of 14 hours of management and professional time.

Skills and experience

  • Qualified (Bachelor or Diploma of Teaching ECE) and fully certificated teacher
  • Highly skilled in building strong relationships with parents and attracting new families to the Centre
  • Experience in leading and inspiring a teaching team
  • Initiative, desire and passion for quality practice standards and commitment to the principles of Te Whāriki
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
