Our client is a well-established local Software House providing niche market solutions to the global health industry.  They are well known for pushing technology boundaries, allowing their technical teams to explore new avenues and to have the latest tools for development to play with. Their culture is collaborative, inclusive and fun. Their cross functional teams work together with a passion for making health information transparent and accessible. They directly help health providers improve care and services.

Owned and managed by a large NZ group, the company has retained a small, family type environment guided by their values which are based around strong team interaction and reliability.

They are proud to have a solid, well established team of developers, test analysts and product specialist. Their products are based on JAVA technology and there is a major drive to move the product to the next technology level with a product strategy defined for several years ahead.

 

The Roles: 

We are looking for a junior to intermediate Test Analyst who can work collaboratively in a team of Testers and Developers. Ideally you will come from a structured Agile environment where you are used to a fast paced and interactive processes, review epics and user stories and provide feedback appropriate to the task.

You will write and execute test cases, carry out functional, integration and performance testing in a mainly ‘manual test’ environment.

 

What you will need: 

This is NOT an entry level role and we are looking for a strong background and experience in the following:

  • A minimum of one years’ experience as a Software Tester
  • Working in Agile software development environments
  • Writing and executing test cases
  • Testing RESTful web services (desirable)
  • Atlassian Jira and Confluence exposure
  • Automated test tools (desirable)
  • Linux shell scripting or programming (desirable)

 

In addition to the technical skills listed above and a keen interest in high quality software products and pride in your work and career progression, you will need to bring into this role excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be a true Team Player!
