People Solutions Advisor

He angitūtanga: The opportunity

As a People Solutions Advisor, you will be responsible for providing efficient and effective phone and web-based People & Performance-related advice to Auckland Council employees and leaders. You’ll serve as the first point of contact for staff seeking employment advice, support with People-related processes in Tupu, and interpretation of Auckland Council’s HR policies and processes. Working closely with the wider People team, you’ll escalate enquiries where needed to the correct channels, and ensure all cases are tracked and recorded accurately in the system. 

He kōrero mōu: About you

You will have at least three years’ experience working in a high-volume customer-service position and bring with you high-degree of emotional intelligence and resilience. Ideally, you’ll have some prior experience working in an HR environment and have some familiarity with NZ employment legislation or Auckland Council employment policies. You’ll be an exceptional spoken and written communicator, and a flexible approach, and be flexible when it comes to juggling conflicting priorities and managing your time. As this role will see you frequently using TUPU, Āwhina and other systems, it goes without saying that you’ll be computer savvy. You’ll have a high-degree of professionalism and will be experienced working in confidential environments.
